I- Shoo! Shoo! I’m supplying this shit for you. Shut up and listen.

UnTubular – 2012

When we first did the BumpMap retrospective of 2020 we promised we would do more of these types of posts. The goal is monthly updates on what’s going on. As you can see this month’s post combines two months, why is that you ask? Well, frankly I have had a ton on my plate with a new job and we’ve also added some new bots that needed to warm up so we could present some fun statistics here!

I really hope you enjoy these smaller but more deep diving posts. If you would like to contribute to the site with reviews and other posts please contact me through DMs or write in #suggestions.

Love you all! 💕

What’s been going on games-wise?

These past months have been pretty up and down when it comes to games. We have unfortunately played less of the “all-inclusive” games that we are used to but we’ve still managed to have some amazing multiplayer sessions, as well as some extremely entertaining discussions about singleplayer games.

Saddle up because here we go!

BumpMap’s preferred choices of March and April 2020

DMC V – S-Rank Edition

What’s better than playing through Devil May Cry 5, beating it, loving it and memeing it? That’s right. Spending hours upon hours trying to S-Rank the entire game on multiple difficulties just to realize your entire save file might be corrupted. Long story short. Everything solved itself in the end and those glorious S-Ranks are still intact!

Valheim

Bumpmap has probably spent close to 300-400 hours on this in total over the early parts of 2021. Many items were lost, many walls were destroyed by trolls, but most importantly, a lot of fun was had! Hopefully this is a game we can come back to as a community in the future when the game has gotten more content and is further into its life!

Garry’s Mod

Garry’s Mod is a game that just keeps on giving. Originally a mod for the Source Engine this has developed into its own game with a ton of gamemodes to boot. We have mostly been enjoying game modes like Trouble in Terrorist Town and Prop Hunt. The possibilities are endless here and this feels like a new addition to the “accessible for everyone” group of games we have.

Golf With Your Friends

I don’t know what to say. GWYF is here to stay and it’s one of those games that most people on BumpMap own or somehow will end up with thanks to the peer pressure of charity!

Tower Unite

This is a game that could become a new casual hangout game for the community. It’s super accessible, has a ton of minigames and lots of fun items and clothes to wear. If there is a game on this list I would recommend you to check out it’s definitely this one!

Don’t Starve Together

This is a game that has been played in small periods over April. It’s a very accessible and easy to run survival game where you can team up and try to survive by not starving, getting killed or by getting stuck in the night. I recommend dying and hanging out with your friends as a cute ghost. They love it!

Titan Quest

Titan Quest is one of my personal favorite ARPG Looters. With a really fun class system that lets you combine different skill trees to make your own unique combo of classes and a very fun multiplayer co-op component this will hopefully be a very fun 6 player playthrough!

That’s it for the games!

BumpMap is built on a foundation where we want people to come with ideas and we will do everything we can to realize them. So if there is ever a game you want to play it never hurts to ask and see if other people are up for it. Merg has been very successful in doing this!

Some statistics!

One of the main reasons for combining both March and April was the addition of a new statistics bot to the community. We can now track the most used emojis on the server! This can be fun for a lot of reasons, but for now it will be interesting to see if game releases / the time of year dictates the usage and in what way. We hope this will be a fun addition!

PS. In the future if the statistics are appreciated we could put some effort in to visualizing it as well!

Emoji usage

Here are the top 15 most used emojis in April:

As you can see :Timebomb: is the king. There was a huge emoji spam in early April that propelled the emote to the Emoji Olympus. The demigods of :PogTim:, :proc: and :PogNatt: stood no chance.

Do you have any ideas on how we can improve or expand on this format even further? Please write down your thoughts in #suggestions it helps super much! Like I mentioned above it would be fun to visualize it better in the future if this whole thing is appreciated.

User Activity

There are always questions being asked every single day. One of those questions is undoubtedly “How many messages were sent in BumpMap during all of April?”. Lucky for you we can provide you with the answer for that one specific question!

Messages

We sent 6609 messages in total during April.

That is an average of 221 messages per day

The five most active people in the text channels were:

  1. UnTubular with 1236 messages
  2. Merg with 808 messages
  3. Fish with 563 messages
  4. Ren with 523 messages
  5. Nuke with 496 messages

That is roughly 55% of all messages sent during the month.

The most active text channel was #general-chat with 1752 messages sent.

Voice Activity

During April we spent a total of 38490 minutes in voice chat.

That is equal to 641 hours. That means we spent almost an entire month together in VC!

The five most active people in voice chat channels were:

  1. Merg with 6325 minutes = 105 hours in total
  2. Nuke with 5744 minutes = 96 hours in total
  3. Natt Vakt with 5573 minutes = 93 hours in total
  4. UnTubular with 3989 minutes = 66 hours in total
  5. Jepser with 3108 minutes = 52 hours in total

That is roughly 64% of the servers total time spent in voice chat this month.

The most active voice chat channel was Walkman’s Chat with 31989 minutes or 533 hours spent in it.

Frankly I’m mostly happy that I’ve finally lost that first spot position!

Hello from the pets!
